What extras can you have?
scratch resistant coating - this is free!
By far the most common form of damage to spectacle lenses is caused
by the wearer putting them on a hard surface with the lenses downwards.
To help prevent lenses becoming scratched, Best4Glasses offers a
FREE HARD COATING, which is applied after the lens has been produced.
Bifocal lenses
Bifocals provide maximum convenience if you need glasses for both
distance and reading purposes, saving the inconvenience of continuously
changing from one pair to another. Other online stores are charging
£35 or more for this option.
lens tint
lens tint (yellow, grey, brown or green)
Tints work by filtering light and each tint filters light differently.
Light to medium shades are good for daily wear. For bright conditions
and outdoor sports, darker shades are more appropriate. Some tints,
such as pink, blue or purple, are purely for cosmetic or fashion
purposes and are poor at filtering light
photochromatics
The latest high tech photochromatic lenses offered by Best4Glasses
change to fully dark within thirty seconds and revert to clear within
another thirty.
Best4Glasses offers photochromatic lenses in either brown or grey
at just an additional £45.00 per pair.
thinner lenses
There is no longer a need for higher prescription lenses to look
like bottle tops. Thinner also equals lighter, for more comfort.
Best4Glasses offers high refractive index lenses of various strengths:
1.60 RI (add £40); 1.67 RI (add £75); 1.70 RI (add £100);
1.74 RI (add £120).
anti-reflective coating
Essential for night driving, to cut out glare from oncoming traffic.
If you use a computer for more than four hours a day, an anti-reflective
coating on your lenses will help to prevent tired eyes.
Best4Glasses offers anti-reflective coating at just £30.
UV protection
Ultra violet light can cause serious damage to the eyes.
Best4Glasses offers a protective coating of 400nm, which can be
added to prescription glasses. This blocks between 99% and 100%
of harmful UV rays and comes at only £10 (£20 on the
high street)
